Frequently Asked Questions
Please be aware that if there is not sufficient space to the sides of the house to access the proposed hot tub’s location, it will be necessary for us to organise and use a crane to lift it into position over the house. This costs between £500 to £1000, depending on the location. Please do discuss this with us.
Our professional installation team will bring the hot tub to your home and place it in your chosen location. Because of its weight/size, they can’t bring it through your house or down steps.
You can also collect from our warehouse. We will forklift it, but you will need suitable transport and the ability to unload and install it at home. Bear in mind that our warranty is voided should you damage your hot tub through unloading it or errors installing it at home.
For deliveries outside the UK, we’re happy to talk, as we can pallet-deliver to almost anywhere.
The amount of space you have available to place your tub in is very important, and you will also need to leave room for access and draining. 30cm or more on each side is recommended, with at least 40cm for the entrance. You may also want to keep in mind the privacy of the location and whether you might want to install a surround. It is of course very important there is an accessible water inlet and waterproof electricity supply.

Your hot tub can last from 5-20 years or more. Quality, correctly-maintained hot tubs with should last at least 20 or more years. Cheaper hot tubs with lower quality materials simply will not last long and even then, if not maintained well, may not last more than 5 years.
A concrete slab, which requires almost negligible maintenance, is the most popular option. Many install concrete slabs, paving slabs, decking and more. When your hot tub is filled it weighs between 250kg – 750kg so placing your hot tub directly on grass or earth is a big no no. To learn more about hot tub bases, read this guide.

If you are a regular hot tub user, you should aim to change the water every three to four months. If you are more infrequent you may be able to delay an extra few weeks. This is irrespective of the sanitising and cleaning solutions you use to maintain your hot tub.

It’s very much down to personal preferences, although you should never set the temperature at higher than 40 degrees Celsius. During the summer, when the ambient air temperature is naturally higher, it is usual practice to set the temperature at the lower end of the scale, between 25-37 degrees Celsius, or you can experience overheating, despite the vagaries of the temperature during the British summer.

The rule of thumb is, the higher the temperature the shorter your stay! The average time spent in a hot tub is usually somewhere between 15 and 30 minutes, but this depends on the temperature of the water. If you like your water hot, you can experience body overheating. This can bring with it feelings of nauseousness, dizziness or light-headedness If you like a “cooler” hot tub, you can, with caution, extend your stay to 45 minutes.
Also, the very young and the elderly are the ones more likely to experience overheating symptoms, so shorter times are recommended.
