To lounge or not to lounge, that is the question. Hot tubs are available with either regular seats or built in loungers for the ultimate spa experience. We know which we would choose, but here is a rundown of the differences so that you can choose for yourself.

Loungers

Hot tubs with loungers are exactly what they say on the tin, but how do they differ from a non-lounger hot tub, and what are the benefits?

Hot tubs with built-in loungers are designed perfectly for those looking for a post-work soak or to fully relax in their hot tub. The loungers are built in just like the hot tub seats are, but they go across the side of the hot tub for the ultimate relaxation. You can put up your feet, and get a full massage from the jets in your tub, for the ultimate spa experience.

Some things to consider are that the loungers are one size fits most, meaning if you are particularly tall or small, you might spend extra time getting comfy. Also, if you’re on the lighter side, the power of the jets might leave you floating a little! But, neither of which are enough to warrant not buying a hot tub with loungers.

Non-loungers

Non-lounger hot tubs have your regular run of the mill seats. These are great for hosting, although you can end up playing a game of footsie if your hot tub is full! The seating means you get a sociable setting and they make great spaces for conversation. That being said, there is nothing to stop you from chatting away while you relax on a little more horizontal level.

Non-lounger hot tubs mean you only have one seating option, and it can be hard to get that full relaxation feeling while sat upright, trying to get caught by all of the jets in the tub.

Should I choose a hot tub with a lounger?

Multi-person hot tubs with loungers have seats also, meaning that you’re not swapping one out for the other. If you want a space to fully relax and unwind, then choosing a hot tub with a lounger seat included gives you the best of both worlds.

Go and see some for yourself, and try the loungers out for size.
